ON THE SPINNER RACKS Jul/Aug 1966

THOR ANNUAL #2 was in the shops with 30 pages of new Kirby art.

It featured the third appearance of this easily reusable Lee/Kirby-conceived Thor opponent. The Destroyer is a more dramatic foe than a robot because it has to be animated by the lifeforce of  a living being..

Plus: In THOR #132, Thor encountered two iconic science fiction threats -
a cosmic toll booth

and planet stealing aliens.

ON THE SPINNER RACKS Jul/Aug 1967

The second part of the Enchanters trilogy.
After this rather stark synopsis page was an issue even more exciting then the previous one.

Thor's 9th appearance of 1967. His 97th of all time.
Odin's 6th appearance of 1967. His 48th of all time.
Balder's 3rd appearance of 1967. His 23rd of all time.
Sif's 6th appearance of 1967. Her 9th of all time.

It was the second Thor comic that I ever read. Lee and Kirby could be sure that I wouldn't miss the final episode of this epic!!
