A THOR fan of more than 3 years would have recognized the bald man dominating the cover (thanks to the dynamic Jack Kirby layout) as Pluto. It was Pluto's 5th THOR appearance but only the second time he appeared on the cover.

Even though Thor is not on the Steranko cover, he appears (along with a lot of other top tier guest stars) in this Jim Steranko/Tom Palmer drawn comic.
