The Marvel Age of Comparative Mythology continued with the 4th appearance of Hercules. Herc debuted in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY ANNUAL #1 eight months earlier.
What the cover promises 13 of the 16 pages of the main story deliver - Thor and Hercules fighting over Nurse Foster (her 40th appearance)
The ingredients for a perfect page - Kirby/Colletta art, Thor battling a worthy opponent, the Rainbow Bridge, Asgard, angry Odin (his 35th appearance) and Balder (his 15th appearance).
Helping to make this a superior issue so was Loki (his 31st appearance) and Thor continuing a quest in the 5 page Tales of Asgard back-up.
Doctor Don Blake does not appear in this issue
