Even though this was Sif's 5th appearance it was her first time on the cover! The cover and 21 story pages were dynamically penciled by Jack Kirby and distinctively inked by Vince Colletta.
Sif's first appearance was in the Tales of Asgard back-up feature in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #102. She appeared in 3 panels on the last page of the five page story and wasn't seen again until 3 years later when she appeared on the last two pages of the main story in THOR #136.
