THOR vs. HULK: A ZOMBIE SMACKDOWN FOR THE AGES!

Banner must get to Avengers Tower to make an antidote to the virus, but to get through the infested streets he'll have to travel as Hulk. The big green guy may be invulnerable to nasty bites, but he'd also rather smash the zombies instead of save them! Poor Groot needs to usher the uncontrollable beast through the horde, but his task is only complicated when an undead Thor shows up. If Groot wants to prevent Hulk from killing his fellow Avenger, he'll need to think fast!

The only new Thor appearance for October was his 13th for the year. It was the 10th Kirby-drawn Thor appearance of 1967. 

It was the 13th Kirby Thor/Loki cover, the 5th embellished by Colletta. They also collaborated on the 16 page Thor story. 

There was also 5 page Kirby/Sinnot back-up featuring who-cares-it-wasn't-Thor.

Besides fighting the Man-Beast in the 16 page lead story, Thor also encounters the High Evolutionary and his Knights of Wundagore

And if that wasn't enough, in the 5 page Tales of Asgard back-up Thor battles a dragon. All art, including the cover was composed by Jack Kirby and embellished by Vince Colletta.
