Pluto had appeared on the cover of THOR four times before, each time rendered by Jack Kirby. This time he was depicted by a different Silver Age legend, Gil Kane.

After more than 6 years, thanks to Walt Simonson, the Destroyer returns.

Simonson did the cover and wrote the issue. The story art was by Sal Buscema and Joe Sinnott.

Like most 1994 THOR issues, the High Evolutionary makes an appearance. His evil creation, the villain formerly known as Man-Beast also appears. Writer Roy Thomas has Thor battle until his clothes are in tatters, then has Mjolner make him a new costume!

The 3rd time Hela appeared on a cover.  It was John Buscema's 2nd Hela cover. Jack Kirby did the first one.

It was Hela's 6th appearance since her debut in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #102 more than 7 years earlier.
