 Thor's 75th appearance.

The Marvel Age of Comparative Mythology continued with the 4th appearance of  Hercules. Herc debuted in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY ANNUAL #1 eight months earlier.

 

What the cover promises 13 of the 16 pages of the main story deliver - Thor and Hercules fighting over Nurse Foster (her 40th appearance)


Kirby/Colletta art, Thor battling a worthy opponent, the Rainbow Bridge, Asgard, angry Odin (35th appearance) and Balder (15th appearance).
Plus Loki (31st appearance) & Thor continue a quest in the Tales of Asgard 5-pager.

Doctor Don Blake does not appear in this issue

Thor's 8th Marvel appearance.

Like his previous appearances, it was in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY and had a cover penciled by Jack Kirby. It was the 5th cover inked by Dick Ayers.

It was Kirby & Ayers only contribution to the issue.



Carbon-Copy Man's 1st appearance. His 2nd would be 25 years later in X-FACTOR.
