    Sif's first appearance was in the Tales of Asgard back-up feature in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #102. She appeared in 3 panels on the last page of the five page story and wasn't seen again until 3 years later when she appeared on the last two pages of the main story in THOR #136.

Any Simonson THOR issue is a better-than-average THOR issue but this one is better than most. It is both a self-contained tale highlighting Thor's connection with the common man and part of a multi-part epic, in the tradition set by Lee/Kirby.

Plus it had the fourth appearances of  Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder - the then underused inspirations for Santa's reindeer.
